Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM)

TSCM (Technical Surveillance Countermeasures) is a set of technical, physical and behavioral measures and safeguards to prevent unauthorized interception or surveillance of information, activities or communications of a person, an organization or an area.

TSCM is of particular importance to businesses, government agencies, senior officials and other sensitive areas. In these areas, espionage and technical surveillance activities are common, especially by competitors, criminal organizations or foreign governments.

TSCM is usually performed by a team of experts who use specialized devices and equipment to detect and dispose of technical surveillance equipment in sensitive areas. In the process, vulnerabilities are also identified and corrected.

TSCM is not only about technical measures. It also includes physical security measures, informed personnel training and appropriate behavioral measures. TSCM is an important component for securing an organization and its regular implementation is used as a preventive measure against potential threats.
